Follow the quest for glory
The great thing about this MMORPG is that it offers a genuine storyline that your character can follow in the form of an epic quest. Atlantica Online allows players to follow a treacherous path that is only available to the supposed descendants of Atlantis. Ultimately, you'll need all of your guile to save mankind from the disastrous effects of something called Oriharukon - the reason Atlantis has suffered so much in the first place. At each stage, there are monsters to battle in a realistic three-dimensional game engine. You can take on other players, too, in the game's player versus player (PVP) mode. If you don't fancy that, then how about recruiting up to eight mercenaries to join you in your adventures and do battle for you? As your power grows, you'll run your own town administration, mentor other players and build up alliances in the form of guilds. There are no less 34 different crafting skills to obtain and a good trading system which feels like it is a real economy.
A damp squib?
Far from feeling like a watery grave, Atlantica Online is more of an alternative version of history if Atlantis had never been lost. With imaginative gameplay, it is ideal for fans of the MMORPG genre.
